Oily Hair and Fresh Start

You can tell my hair is
limp when this makes me
happy,
The fauxhawk hairstyle had a wonderful side effect on my hair.  When I took it down, my hair actually had body.  Crazy, wonky body, but body nonetheless.  It is difficult to get my hair to look curly in any way, so I was actually thrilled with the look.

The next morning my hair was still looking a little more bodacious than normal, so I decided to work with it and skip my shampoo.  I know a lot of people skip days with shampooing, but I usually can't bring myself to do it.  I don't like how my hair looks when it's unwashed.  My hair is fine and looks oily quickly.  Dry shampoo to the rescue!

I used Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo along the roots of my hair to soak up any oiliness.

Tunic, thrifted; leggings, Danskin, Walmart; sandals, Younkers; earrings, Claire's; crocheted necklace, handmade by me; seed bead bracelet and necklace, purchased in Cozumel.

The dry shampoo works pretty well.  My hair doesn't feel as silky and clean as if I have just shampooed and conditioned it, but it is good for days I'm feeling lazy.  I didn't get photos taken in a timely manner, but even at the end of the day my roots don't look too oily.

My mom likes to say it's amazing what you find when you clean.  She's right.  I cleaned out my jewelry box and found a number of pieces I haven't worn in a while including beaded jewelry from Cozumel.
