In the Trenches (Part I)

A few weeks ago I was contacted by eShakti.com to write a review of their site, process, and, of course, products.  I was excited... Very, very excited.  Thrilled, really.

My eyes all but popped out of my head when I saw the options available on eShakti's site.  I am a fiend for dresses, so my eyes were first drawn to dress section of the site.  There are so many to choose from, and each is available with myriad options for customization.  (I'll talk more about that tomorrow.)

After much deliberation I decided on the Doubleweave Belted Trench.  It fills a gap in my wardrobe for a versatile, light-weight coat.  The description calls the color crimson, but I think Gracey might agree that it's actually oxblood.  It is a gorgeous color, and the cut is something that will look just as good 10 years from now.

The construction is exemplary.  The seams on the inside are all meticulously finished.  The fabric is has beautiful drape.  There is a perfect balance of structure and stretch.

I love that this coat can be dressed up or down.  I paired it with a casual outfit today for errands and a walk with a friend.  Tomorrow I will dress it up a bit more and showcase that style.  Truly, I can picture this jacket with almost anything in my wardrobe.  I am head over heels for it.

I don't usually spend a lot of money on my clothes, but I make an exception for occasional pieces like this jacket.  Many years of style and warmth in a size that is absolutely perfect is worth $134.95.

It looks great belted.  It looks great open.  It looks great pinned like in the video above.

I decided to do this review in two parts so I could take a little more time to talk about sizing without writing a novella.
